How to log out from the app.
Tap the "Profile" section located in the bottom navigation bar. On the Profile screen, locate the "Log out" icon. It should be positioned in the top right corner of the screen. After tapping the "Log out" icon, confirm your logging out.
How to check the current version of the ELD application.
Tap the 'Inspection' section located in the bottom navigation bar. In the bottom, you will see a 5-digit number (iOS) and a 6-digit number (Android). This code is your ELD STAR application version.
When will ELD automatically start to record a driving mode?
The ELD will automatically switch to driving mode once a vehicle is moving more than 5 miles per hour. The ELD will consider the vehicle stopped, once its speed falls to 0 miles per hour.
Are there any requirements for the driver's tablet?
  • Android or IOS Tablets from LG, Samsung or Apple Brand (all with 4G, LTE sim card slots).
  • Android 8 or higher.
  • IOS 13.0 or higher
What electronic logging devices are compatible with ELD STAR application?
IOSix, IOSix V5, PT 30 ELDs

Driver lost internet connection while driving
The data will be recorded in the offline mode and transferred to the system once the connection is established. Do not log out from the app and do not restart the tablet.
Will the location in ELD identify street addresses?
No. ELD location information is not precise to identify street addresses. It indicates the approximate distance corresponding to the name of a nearby city, town with a State.
Status does not change to driving after you start moving faster than 5 miles per hour
Make sure your app is connected to ELD device.
  1. Turn off your vehicle
  2. Unplug the device if possible
  3. Logout from the ELD Application
  4. Plug back your ELD device to the ECU port
  5. Login to the ELD application
  6. Start driving
I don't see my truck number in the list of vehicles.
On the vehicle list, you should see either all the vehicles available under your company or only the one assigned to you. If the list of vehicles is empty, please reach out to your Fleet Administrator.
How to view HOS Violations
  1. Tap on "Logs," and a list of the past 14 days will be displayed.
  2. If there is a red exclamation point near a specific date, it indicates that violations occurred on that day.
  3. Tap on the date with the red exclamation point, and underneath the graph, you will find a dropdown labeled "Violations."
  4. Expand the dropdown to reveal a list of violations, along with the time when each violation occurred.
How to sign multiple logs at once
  1. On the Logs screen, tap on the "Show all uncertified" button in the top right corner.
  2. Scroll through the logs to review the uncertified days.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap on the "Certify all Logs" button.
  4. A screen will appear asking you to draw your signature.
  5. Use your finger or a stylus to draw your signature on the screen.
  6. Once you have drawn your signature, tap on the "Sign" button to sign the uncertified days.
How to provide an officer with your driving information / daily logs?
Tap the 'Inspection' section in the navigation bar, then tap 'Download PDF report' button and show the electronic logbook summary, which is the downloaded PDF report, to the officer.
How to send the report to the DOT inspector?
Tap the 'Inspection' section in the navigation bar, then tap 'Send output file to FMCSA' button.

Please go to ELD STAR website and register the company first. Once it is done, you will get an option to register a driver and log into the app.
How to update ELD application

Logout from your ELD application

For Android – open Google Play search for ELD STAR application. click on the application icon and press the Update button on the right if that is available.

For Apple – please go to the App Store search for ELD STAR application. click on the application icon and press Update, if available.

If it is not available – you are using the latest version of ELD application.
